DCS Coordinator

Summary of Position:

Provide technical support to field maintenance team(s) in instrumentation and electrical equipment and systems maintenance, improvement and modifications.

Principal Duties & responsibilities:

• Provide service in engineering and design of instrumentation and electrical systems.
• Specify equipment for related construction and modification projects.
• Provide electrical and instrumentation engineering support to operations and maintenance teams.
• Proactively identify and develop ideas for improvements to the E&I system that can add value to the asset.
• Provide E&I support around Hess’s SEA portfolio and globally where required.
• Lead design and implementation of offshore SCADA installation.
• Provide operations E&I input and support to future field development.
• Engineer and design E&I modifications to gas plant and offshore facilities.
• Develop technical skills to improve capabilities.
• Participate in Root Cause Analyses for significant equipment failures
• Develop operating procedures and guidelines
• Manage respective people and organization
• Manage EHS function in the respective department
• Manage relevant administration and report
• Understand the broader business to drive alignment around key objectives
• Create a sense of urgency and drive for closure
• Focus resources on the key priorities

·A Bachelor or Masters Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering

• 10 -15 years experience in oil and gas operations
• Ability to use, develop and configure PLC, DCS and SCADA systems
• Knowledge of gas plant and offshore operations would be a clear advantage
• Proven track record of working with and programming Honeywell systems is desired
• Project Management experience
• Computer literacy: Word, Excel, Power Point, email, internet,
