As one of our Reservoir Geophysicist/Seismic Interpreters, you’ll
work on both green and brown-field developments, take a technical
role in integrated field studies and be responsible for production
seismology work, content and quality.
Using integrated seismic and/or potential field data, you’ll
evaluate the geophysical potential of prospects and existing fields
and identify and assess key subsurface uncertainties and their impact
on future activities.
We’ll look to you to apply Quantitative Interpretation concepts
and techniques in support of the building and updating of static
geological models. You’ll ensure that all work is properly
quality controlled by the appropriate technical authorities. Fully
documenting all work products and ensuring the interpreted data
is properly captured, you’ll also make sure the relevant databases
are updated with the results of the study, and models are properly
archived for future re-use.
This role will require you to participate in the scoping of new
projects, including project framing and negotiations with our potential
customers. Managing studies, including reporting progress against
plan and proposing remedial activity plans, you’ll also participate
with the team in moving projects through the value assurance process
of opportunity identification, project definition, system selection,
and final investment.
You’ll participate in the virtual knowledge sharing network
and take a proactive approach to knowledge sharing and engagement
with colleagues in operating units. You’ll also be responsible
for the training, coaching and mentoring of junior staff.
There is sufficient scope for learning and development either
through on-the-job-training with other or more experienced colleagues
or through more formalised training courses, workshops and conferences.
It is highly likely that your work in the team will involve field
visits to overseas Operating Companies of the Group. This may involve
extensive travel and your absence from home for longer and shorter
periods.
