| | Description: | A major international oil company has new world class LNG projects coming on-stream over the next few years. Its portfolio of oil projects both in development and in operations have a variety of complex well and production issues. To support growth aspirations, outstanding opportunities exist for experienced Production Technologists to drive the integration of reservoir, wells and production system design and management to achieve the company’s ambitious and exciting expansion plans. The opportunities range in seniority from 4 yrs experience to seasoned all with room for career growth and challenge. Production Technologists’ primary value to the business is bringing together an understanding of operational/hardware issues with subsurface/production value drivers to create the optimum business solution for issues involving field development concepts, well design and execution, well integrity and production optimisation. Production technologists work with the subsurface teams but maintain close interfaces with the Drilling and Completions, Production Operations and Projects groups. As a Production Technologist you will be responsible for the Technical quality of the conceptual well designs and well systems integration in the Field development phase of an asset lifecycle. In the operating phase of the asset you will be responsible for production optimisation and reservoir surveillance requirements. These assets could be either offshore, deepwater, subsea To achieve this you will be required to work within an integrated team and progress your own work. You will also be expected to take on board the responsibility of mentoring more junior staff and transferring/contributing your knowledge to the organisation as a whole. |
| | Requirements: | Degree/MSC in Petroleum Engineering is preferred but an engineering degree with appropriate industry training is also acceptable. Senior Production Technologists need to be knowledgeable and experienced in the following areas: - Well performance modelling and analysis (preferably with Prosper)
Production network analysis (Prosper/GAP) - Artificial lift design and planning
- Optimal life cycle design of well architecture, functionality and placement using latest technology
- Sand management strategy - sand failure prediction, sand control selection, overall system risk analysis and business case.
