Description: |
- Deployment of technology and also for the provision of technical
expertise and technical services to well operations worldwide
- Modeling technical challenging projects in the areas of drill
string vibration, drilling efficiency optimization and mechanical
specific energy
- In addition, the candidate may be involved with Casing drilling,
expandables, shallow water flow in deepwater, managed pressure
drilling, and/or other novel technologies
- Providing to Shell’s Well Delivery Teams advice on more
quickly and effectively implement appropriate technologies
Key Accountabilities
- Work with Well Delivery Teams to identify application for the
technologies
- Provide the skills, engineering and network support to move
the technology from concept to implementation in the shortest
possible time frame
- Develop sustainability of the technologies by developing robust
implementation plans; managing the gathering, documenting and
transfer of data (knowledge management); effectively networking,
both internally and externally; and developing appropriate competences
in Well Delivery Teams (training & development plans)
- Providing operational support to projects
- Providing rig site technical supervision as and when necessary

Requirements: |
- Engineering Degree (BS, MS or PhD)
- 10 years of experience
- Ability to organise and plan projects
- Willingness to deliver to tight project time lines
- Results orientated to deliver industry-leading products and
solutions
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to influence
key stakeholders for each technology application and to enable
him or her to integrate quickly into a new organisation and with
the various Well Delivery Teams
- The ability to work with people from different cultural backgrounds
Flexible and resourceful to work outside the boundaries of their
current experience
- Willingness to acquire, where necessary, the skills and knowledge
to fully support the technologies
- Willingness to travel to maintain team & discipline dynamics
and when necessary support implementation in Well Delivery Teams
regional offices and on rigs
